abstract |
(57) [Summary] A thermal transfer printing receiver sheet used in combination with a compatible donor sheet. The receiver sheet comprises a dye-receiving receiving layer and an opaque biaxially oriented polyester substrate, the polyester substrate comprising: (i) an inorganic filler having an average pore size in the range of 0.3 to 3.5 μm. Small voids formed around the particles, and (ii) organic filler particles having an average void size in the range of 5-21 μm and less than 15% of the voids having a void size greater than 27 μm. Includes large voids formed around it. |
