(57) [Summary]nMethods and compositions useful for inducing a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte response (CTL) in a human or domestic or agricultural animal. The method includes providing an antigen for which a CTL response is desired, and comprising, consisting of, or consisting essentially of, two or more of a stabilizing surfactant, a micelle forming agent, and an oil. And the step of providing an antigen preparation consisting of these. Preferably, the antigen preparation does not have an immunostimulatory peptide component, or such components are at sufficiently low levels so as not to reduce the desired CTL response. The formulation is preferably provided as a stable oil-in-water emulsion. |
