abstract (57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides a method for producing lactoferrin and lactoferrin polypeptide fragments using the host cell Aspergillus in combination with the novel plasmid construct. In particular, the present invention provides novel vector constructs capable of producing lactoferrin and lactoferrin polypeptide fragments in Aspergillus host cells. In addition, the present invention provides novel plasmid constructs that allow for the large scale production of recombinant lactoferrin and lactoferrin polypeptide fragments suitable for use with Aspergillus, especially Aspergillus awamori, niger and oryzae host cells.
