abstract (57) Abstract A process for making a bone implant from calcium phosphate powder is disclosed. The process involves the step of selectively fusing layers of calcium powder coated or mixed with a polymeric binder. The calcium powder mixture can be formed into layers and the polymer can be fused using a laser. Complex three-dimensional geometries can be automatically replicated or modified using this approach.
