abstract | (57) [Summary]nA method for distinguishing immune senescent cells from immune non-senescent cells in a cell population comprising the following steps: (1) providing a cell population; (2) subjecting the cell population to a monoclonal antibody specific for the CD28 antigen. And the antibody is labeled with a detectable label, such that the monoclonal antibody binds to cells that are positive for the antigen, and the cells that bind to the antibody are immunologically non-senescent and bind to the antibody. Cells that cannot bind are immunologically senescent; and (3) detecting cells that react with the monoclonal antibody by observing a detectable label bound to the cells, thereby rendering the immune senescent cells immune non-senescent. (A) the number of immune senescent cells in the population; (b) the number of non-senescent cells in the population; and What is the ratio of immune senescent cells to senescent cells? Measure it. Typically, the label is a fluorescent label. Typically, the cells are T cells, and a subpopulation of cells that are CD3 positive may be considered. The method of the present invention can also be used to separate and isolate immune senescent cells from immune non-senescent cells. |
