Method of forming structure with protective film including urinary catheter for women |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] An anti-binding agent is applied to a support structure to realize a certain shape, and then a polymer composition is applied to a structure molded with the anti-binding agent to form a polymer structure. A method of molding is provided. The polymer structure thus formed comprises one or more cavities (16) filled with a fluid or gel. There is also provided a female manually operated indwelling urinary catheter having an inner tube (12) and an outer protective membrane (14) surrounding the tube with an elastomeric collar (50) having a shroud (51). The cavity (16) containing the fluid (18) is disposed between the tube (12) and the protective film (14). The cavity includes a balloon (24) and a reservoir (22). The shroud (51) suppresses expansion when the reservoir (22) is squeezed and the fluid (18) is pushed out of the reservoir (22) through the cavity sleeve (34) to the balloon (24). Surrounds the storage portion (22). The collar (50) including the protective film (14) and the shroud (51) is formed of a flexible elastic material. |
