(57) [Summary]nThe synthesis of 10,10'-substituted-9,9'-biacridine molecules and their derivatives has been elucidated. These molecules have a pH of about 10.0 to about 14.0 and are effective in generating a chemiluminescent signal at a concentration of a chelating agent, a sulfoxide, a reducing sugar, one oxidant or a combination of oxidants, alcohols and quaternary oxidants. It has been shown to catalyze the generation of light by chemiluminescence in the presence of a signal solution containing aqueous sodium borate. These 10,10'-substituted-9,9'-biacridines can be used alone or in conjunction with haptens or macromolecules and labeled in the preparation of chemiluminescent, homogeneous or heterogeneous assays. Used as In addition, they can be used with other chemiluminescent labeling molecules, resulting in chemiluminescent assays of multiple analytes. |
