(57) Abstract: Provided are surface crosslinked superabsorbent polymer compositions, methods of making the same, and articles made therefrom. The above superabsorbent polymer composition is produced by surface-crosslinking a polymerization product of a carboxy or carboxylate group-containing monomer with a crosslinking agent solution. Crosslinker solution consists of water, C 3 -C 6 diols and crosslinking compound. The crosslinking compound has two or more functional reactive groups that react with the carboxy or carboxylate groups of the polymerization product. |
