titleOfInvention | Protection method for optical fiber |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] The color of the outermost coating layer of the optical fiber ribbon cored in the optical fiber cable closure installed outdoors for a long period of time is discolored by the influence of ultraviolet rays or the like, and the identification is not possible. Provided is a method for protecting an optical fiber, which is not impossible. SOLUTION: At least a portion of an optical fiber core cable 20 accommodated in an optical fiber cable closure 1 installed outdoors that is not accommodated in at least a surplus length accommodating portion 8 (non-housing portion 20). In (a), the ultraviolet shielding sheet 22 is attached so as to cover the surface of the optical fiber 20 or the surface of the converging portion 20a 'in which the plurality of optical fibers 20 are bundled. |
