Method for site-specific fragmentation of proteins |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] The object of the present invention is to provide an efficient method for site-specific fragmentation of a protein. SOLUTION: A lysine-cysteine residue is introduced into a peptide, and then cysteine is cyanated. Then When the peptide is treated with a weak alkali, the ε-amino group of lysine attacks the carbonyl carbon on the peptide bond by lysine and cyanocysteine as a nucleophilic group, and Cleavage of the peptide bond of cyanocysteine was efficiently triggered. |
