(57) [Problem] To provide a transformant capable of producing a polypeptide having phytase activity extracellularly and in large amounts at low cost. SOLUTION: A recombinant plasmid in which a gene encoding a phytase derived from Schwaniomyces oxydentalis is bound downstream of a promoter derived from methanol oxidase, and a methanol-assimilating yeast transformed with the recombinant plasmid is prepared. By culturing, the phytase is efficiently produced extracellularly. [Effect] Schwaniomyces oxydentalis-derived phytase, which could hardly be produced extracellularly, can be efficiently produced in a medium, and the phytase can be converted into an enzyme for producing myo-inositol and phosphorus in excreta. It is very useful when used as a feed additive for livestock for the purpose of reducing the acid concentration. |
