PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode ray tube provided with an antireflection film having high luminance and low surface resistance effective for preventing AEF, and a method of manufacturing such a cathode ray tube at low cost. SOLUTION: In the cathode ray tube of the present invention, SiO 2 as a main component and silicones and / or silicone are used immediately above a conductive layer made of conductive fine particles such as ultra fine particles of silver or a silver compound. Alternatively, a layer containing ZrO 2 is provided. In the production of such a cathode ray tube, a coating layer containing SiO 2 as a main component and containing alkoxysilane or the like is formed immediately above the conductive fine particle layer, and the upper and lower coating layers are simultaneously fired. By using an alkoxysilane derivative having a fluoroalkyl group, the water resistance and chemical resistance of the film can be improved. |
