titleOfInvention | Electron emitting element, electron source, image forming apparatus using the same, and method of manufacturing the same |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electron-emitting device and a method of manufacturing an electron source and an image forming apparatus using the same as an example of a surface conduction type which simultaneously realizes good electron emission characteristics and a long life. I do. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an electron-emitting device having a conductive film having an electron-emitting portion and a pair of opposing element electrodes electrically connected to the conductive film, (a) forming the conductive film A step of providing a film made of an organometallic compound or a complex as a precursor of a constituent substance by connecting to the device electrode; and (b) applying a voltage to the film made of the organometallic compound or the complex via the device electrode. And maintaining the organic compound or the complex at a decomposition temperature or higher, and making the film made of the organic metal compound or the complex a conductive film having the electron-emitting portion. |
