Liquid crystal display |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] A liquid crystal display device capable of easily improving the color temperature in white display in the front direction without increasing power consumption and lowering the front luminance, or improving the power consumption and improving the front direction. Development of a liquid crystal display device that can easily improve the front luminance without changing the color temperature in white display. SOLUTION: A haze value of 1.5 to 15% and a 60-degree gloss value of 35 to 8 are provided on a light source arrangement side of a transmission type liquid crystal cell (2). A liquid crystal display device having a polarizing plate (3) via a 5% concavo-convex scattering layer (31) and, if necessary, a polarizing beam splitter and a quarter-wave plate. [Effect] The reflected light passing through the metal electrode in the liquid crystal cell is scattered and reflected, and a part of the reflected light is re-entered into the cell without lowering the transmittance in the front direction of the incident light from the light source such as the backlight. And a part of the light reflected by the metal electrode or the like can be effectively used. |
