(57) [Problem] To provide an oxygen-selective sorbent. The present invention provides an oxygen selective material comprising a transition element complex containing a first transition element ion and one or more chelating ligands, wherein i) the first transition element ion is Ii) the chelating ligand provides the transition element ion with up to four intramolecular donor sites; iii) the chelating ligand is a second distinct transition element Providing an intermolecular donor site for the second transition element ion contained in the complex; and iv) the chelating ligand contains at least one substituent that inhibits formation of μ-peroxo dimer on the complex. An oxygen-selective material for separating oxygen from an oxygen-containing gas mixture, wherein the total number of donor sites for the first transition element ion is 5, when the complex is in the deoxy form. |
