titleOfInvention | Method of forming megavolt image using coupling of photoreceptor with high energy photon converter and intensifier |
abstract | (57) The present invention is used in connection with this novel image forming method as well as providing a new image forming method for obtaining a high quality megavolt energy image in real time. A new detector is provided. The method includes forming an image on a detector that includes a photoreceptor material layer deposited on a dense substrate layer. The photon beam is passed through the target portion of the patient and then through the detector. The dense substrate layer is located on the input side of the photon beam to increase the photon quantity and to filter the scattered radiation from the patient induced by the photon beam. Thereby, photons that have penetrated the dense substrate are converted into electrons, which then form an image with the electrons across the photoreceptor material layer, thereby monitoring the patient's targeted treatment volume online. |
