Atmospheric pressure glow discharge on paper substrate for photographic applications |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a photographic support by glow discharge under atmospheric pressure in order to improve the adhesion of a polymer coating layer to the photographic support. SOLUTION: (1) transporting photographic paper through an atmospheric glow discharge region containing a gas having a withstand voltage lower than air; (2) 40 KHz to 13.5 in an atmospheric glow discharge region. A method for producing a photographic support, comprising applying an electric frequency such that an electric glow discharge is formed at an electrical frequency of 6 MHz and (3) the photographic paper is coated with a polymer coating. |
