abstract | (57) [Summary] In a dry reprocessing method, an oxide such as uranium is obtained by a slow reaction in molten cadmium. SOLUTION: Cadmium containing uranium and the like concentrated by a cadmium phase concentrating device 82 is introduced into an oxidation tank 90 via a pipe 86b. Oxygen is introduced into the oxidation tank 90 via a pipe 92. Therefore, oxidation tank 9 Uranium and the like introduced together with cadmium into 0 are oxidized by oxygen to become oxides such as uranium. The oxide such as uranium is sucked together with cadmium by a pump 98 and transferred to a cadmium distillation device 94 via a pipe 96a. In the cadmium distillation apparatus 94, cadmium and oxides such as uranium are separated, the oxides such as uranium are recovered as MOX, and the distilled cadmium is returned to the oxidation tank 90 again. Therefore, most elements dissolved in cadmium are recovered as oxides by the oxidation tank 90. |
