abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a random addition copolymer of ethylene and a cyclic olefin having a polar group such as an ester group or an acid anhydride group. SOLUTION: a) a structural unit derived from ethylene, and b) a general formula (1): [Wherein A and B represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; one of X and Y is a group represented by the formula:-(CH2) nCOOR (Where R represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, n Represents an integer of 0 to 10). The other is a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an ester group represented by the formula:-(CH2) nCOOR (where R and n are as described above), or X and Y are wherein together bonded to each other: - [(CH 2) n -CO-O -CO- (C H 2) n] - (wherein, n represents to form a divalent group represented by a is) as described above. m represents 0 or 1. ] The copolymer which has the structural unit derived from the polar group-containing cyclic olefin represented by these. This copolymer has a polystyrene-equivalent number average molecular weight of 1,000 to 100,000 and a structural unit derived from a polar group-containing cyclic olefin in the copolymer of 1 to 99 mol%. |
