abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing phenylglyoxylates, which are important intermediates for the production of agricultural germicides, and to be useful as phenylglyoxylates and agricultural germicides using the same as raw materials. Provided are a method for producing a methoxyiminoacetamide derivative and an intermediate thereof. SOLUTION: General formula (I): [Wherein, A is a benzene ring which may be substituted, and Z is- O— or —OCH 2 — or AZ— is a methyl group; X represents a halogen atom], and a Grignard reagent represented by the general formula (II): (COOR 1 ) 2 (II) , R 1 represents n-propyl, n-butyl, isobutyl or sec-butyl], wherein a dialkyl oxalate represented by the general formula (III): [Wherein, A, Z and R 1 are as defined above]. |
