titleOfInvention | Method for oxidizing polycyclic hydrocarbons |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To suppress the adhesion of sublimable polycyclic hydrocarbons to the inner wall of a pipe or the like, and smoothly carry out an oxidation reaction. SOLUTION: A sublimable polycyclic hydrocarbon such as adamantane is converted into (A) a non-sublimable aromatic compound and (B) at least one compound selected from an acidic compound and a non-aromatic nitrile. Oxygen oxidation in the constituted mixed solvent. The aromatic compound (A) includes a benzene derivative such as chlorobenzene. Compound (B) includes an organic acid such as acetic acid. The oxidation reaction is carried out, for example, by contacting a substrate with oxygen in the solvent in the presence of a catalyst comprising an imide compound such as N-hydroxyphthalimide represented by the following formula (1). Embedded image (Wherein, R 1 and R 2 represent a substituent such as a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, and R 1 and R 2 are bonded to each other to form a double bond, an aromatic or non-aromatic ring. X Represents O or OH, and n represents an integer of 1 to 3.) |
