PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent electrical properties and moisture and heat resistance, especially when used as a dielectric of a capacitor, having excellent adhesion to a film with a vapor-deposited metal layer and dimensional stability. And a film that can contribute to improving the long-term reliability of the capacitor. A biaxially oriented polyester film having a coating layer of a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin having a thickness of 0.005 to 0.5 μm on at least one side of the film, the width of the film being measured by a thermomechanical tester. 200 in the direction A biaxially oriented polyester film for a capacitor, wherein the dimensional change at ℃ is -1.0 to + 4.0% and the total thickness is 1.0 to 14 µm. |
