titleOfInvention Plastic precision sleeve for optical connector and its mold
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a plastic precision sleeve for an optical connector which is excellent in mass productivity and can hold ferrules with high precision, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A plastic precision sleeve for an optical connector is provided in an adapter for connecting optical fiber cords each containing an optical fiber, and each ferrule attached to the tip of each optical fiber cord is inserted from both ends. Optically connects the optical fibers. This plastic precision sleeve has an outer peripheral surface 14 which is a cylindrical peripheral surface, and has a cavity 15 penetrating the inside of the outer peripheral cylinder in the longitudinal direction, and an inner wall surface of a ferrule which is concentric with the outer peripheral cylinder and is inserted. It comprises at least three planes 16 to which an imaginary cylinder (17) having a diameter smaller than the diameter can inscribe, and a surface 18 connecting the three planes and having a distance from the center larger than the radius of the inscribed cylinder.
