abstract Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a thermoplastic resin such as an aromatic polycarbonate or polyvinylidene fluoride without coloring a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic amide compound (for example, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) solvent. SOLUTION: Beforehand, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic amide compound is used as a solvent after it is brought into contact with (i) an acidic substance or (ii) after contact with an acidic substance and then recovered by distillation.
