(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for easily detecting a morphological abnormality of red blood cells, which could not be detected conventionally, by using a flow cytometer. Kind Code: A1 A sample containing erythrocytes is mixed with a sphering reagent, (2) the sample treated in the step is introduced into a detection unit of a flow cytometer, and (3) scattering generated from the sample. Of the light, cell distribution data is obtained by at least measuring scattered light at an angle that reflects the morphology of the erythrocyte, and (4) comparing the erythrocyte morphology abnormality with the predetermined cell distribution data of normal erythrocytes. A method for detecting erythrocyte morphological abnormalities, characterized by detecting. |
