titleOfInvention | Diels-Alder reaction of aldehydes with simple dienes |
abstract | (57) Abstract: [Problem] To provide an inexpensive and easy method for producing dihydropyrans. SOLUTION: Under the influence of a perfluorinated organic sulfonic acid or a Bronsted acid derivative thereof, a compound represented by the formula: RCHO (wherein R is an aliphatic group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a phenyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted with one or more alkyl groups having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or one other functional group) The unactivated aldehyde represented is converted to a compound of the formula: R 1 CH = C R 2 —CR 3 CHCHR 4 (wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms), and is reacted with a simple aliphatic diene represented by the following general formula (1): (Wherein R, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are as defined above) to obtain 5,6-dihydropyran. |
