titleOfInvention Evaporative fuel treatment system for internal combustion engines
abstract (57) [Problem] To prevent hunting of the air-fuel ratio at the start of a purge action. A purge control valve (17) is arranged in a conduit (16) connecting a canister (11) and a surge tank (5). The duty ratio of the drive pulse of the purge control valve 17 is controlled, and when the purge operation is started, the duty ratio is gradually increased. In a small duty ratio region where the flow rate of the purge control valve 17 becomes unstable, the duty ratio is increased or kept constant so that the duty ratio is not reduced.
