abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP back plate whose process is simple and has a uniform phosphor layer in close contact with a cell surface and a sufficient cell space. SOLUTION: A step of forming a non-photosensitive phosphor-containing layer on a wall surface and a bottom surface between a plurality of barrier ribs formed on a substrate, wherein a photosensitive material containing substantially no phosphor between the barrier ribs on the phosphor-containing layer. Forming a photosensitive resin layer, exposing the photosensitive resin layer through a photomask having a desired pattern, developing and removing the photosensitive resin layer in a non-exposed area, and a phosphor-containing layer in a non-exposed area. Removing the photosensitive resin layer in the exposed area, and baking the phosphor-containing layer in the exposed area, and a method for manufacturing a back plate of a plasma display panel, and using the method.
