abstract (57) [Abstract] [Object] To improve the wear resistance of the alumina layer itself, particularly the crater wear resistance and the abrasive wear resistance of the coated hard member, and to provide a cutting tool with a long life. I do. The present invention provides at least one chemical vapor deposited film on a substrate surface coated with binary carbides, nitrides, oxides of Ti and Si, and solid solutions or mixtures thereof, and 50% of the total film thickness. The coated hard member described above is the binary film.
