(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide an inexpensive, biodegradable, non-polluting food tray that is adaptable to the global environment, in place of a conventionally popular foamed plastic food tray. SOLUTION: A defatted bran is a main raw material, and a modified poval having biodegradability and a thickening stability are also included, including shellac resin which is the only thermosetting resin as a natural resin having biodegradability. Sub-materials such as gum arabic and tragacanth rubber, which are natural polymers to be provided, are appropriately selected, kneaded with water in addition to the defatted bran, and then rolled to form a sheet, which is then used with an open press. To form a molded product such as a food tray by subjecting the kneaded material to injection molding under heating. |
