titleOfInvention Recording medium and recording / reproducing device
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] The present invention can reduce the influence of adsorbed water from the atmosphere without requiring large-scale equipment such as a vacuum exhaust device, perform stable recording and reproduction, and provide an error rate. It is an object of the present invention to provide a recording medium used for a recording / reproducing apparatus or the like using the principle of a scanning probe microscope in which the principle is reduced, and a recording / reproducing apparatus provided with the recording medium. The present invention relates to a recording medium used for a recording / reproducing apparatus or the like to which the principle of a scanning probe microscope is applied, wherein the recording medium comprises a recording member laminated on a substrate, and the recording member is made of at least gold. It has an electrode layer made of a single crystal, and the electrode layer is formed on a thin film heater on a substrate via an insulating layer.
