abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] A heat sensitive material having a high dynamic color density, little coloring of a ground color portion, excellent image storability such as oil resistance and plasticizer resistance, and preventing generation of scum and sticking. Provide a recording medium. SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive material containing an intermediate layer, a leuco dye-type coloring component comprising a basic leuco dye and an organic developer, and a metal chelate type coloring component comprising an electron acceptor and an electron donor on a support. In the heat-sensitive recording medium laminated with a coloring layer, the intermediate layer contains hollow polymer particles having an opening obtained by cutting a part of the hollow polymer particles in a plane, The thermosensitive coloring layer comprises at least one compound represented by the following general formula (I) or (II) as an organic developer, a higher fatty acid metal double salt having 16 to 35 carbon atoms as an electron acceptor, and an electron acceptor.
