abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing polymerization of a conjugated diene for suppressing the production of a polymer in an extractive distillation apparatus and making it difficult to cause dirt, clogging of pipes, and reduction in thermal efficiency in the apparatus. . SOLUTION: In the step of extracting and distilling a C4 fraction containing butadiene with an extractive distillation column using dimethylformamide containing t-butylcatechol to separate butadiene, the C4 fraction containing butadiene is extracted and distilled. The oxygen concentration in the gas phase of the distillate supplied to the middle stage of the column and coming out of the outlet of the condenser at the top of the extractive distillation column is measured, and the oxygen concentration in the gas phase is adjusted so that the oxygen concentration becomes 20 ppm or less. A portion is withdrawn, mixed with the C4 cut and re-fed to the middle stage of the extractive distillation column. |
