PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly active, highly stable oxygen reduction complex catalyst capable of converting dissolved oxygen into water by reducing dissolved oxygen and efficiently extracting the energy. SOLUTION: A μ-oxo binuclear iron (III) complex is used as a catalyst for oxygen reduction using a complex system composed of macrocyclic ligands such as tetraphenylporphyrin, octaethylporphyrin, and protoporphyrin IX. |
