titleOfInvention | Thermal recording material and thermal recording method |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material for an infrared laser which has good absorption efficiency of an infrared laser beam, has a low degree of background coloring, and enables high-quality recording, and uses the same. The present invention provides a thermal recording method capable of performing high-quality recording even with a low-energy laser. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a thermosensitive recording material for infrared laser, comprising a support and a thermosensitive layer containing at least an organic silver salt, a developer of the organic silver salt, an infrared absorbing dye, and a water-soluble binder. It contains a squarylium compound represented by the following general formula (I) as an infrared absorbing dye. The organic silver salt can be contained in a solid dispersion state or encapsulated in microcapsules. |
