titleOfInvention Camera calibration method
abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] To create a three-dimensional model of an object using the principle of stereo vision from three or more photographs of the object by changing the position and orientation of a camera. In order to obtain information on the position and orientation of the camera that has photographed the object from the feature points of the object, humans are required. SOLUTION: A camera direction and a position vector are obtained for all combinations of a two-piece set having eight or more corresponding points of F photos, and a camera direction and a position vector are obtained for each corresponding point of the two-piece set of photos. A straight line connecting the viewpoint and the image is obtained, a distance between the two straight lines is obtained, an average value of each distance for each corresponding point is obtained as a camera calibration error, and the directions R 1 , R 2, ... obtains the R F, position vectors T 1, T 2 of the cameras from the evaluation function representing how far where the straight lines are closest, seek ... T F.
