titleOfInvention Image forming device
abstract (57) [Problem] To prevent the formation of a bug-like abnormal image, an intermediate transfer body is not required without applying an extra time of applying a coating agent of a lubricant additive onto the intermediate transfer body. Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of the above-described toner filming, lowering of transfer efficiency, and entrainment of a cleaning blade, and performing high-quality image formation while avoiding an abnormal image of insect biting thereafter. SOLUTION: An image carrier 1 rotatably supported to form an electrostatic latent image, data receiving means 2 for receiving image data of an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier, and an image carrier A developing unit 3 for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the body, an intermediate transfer body 4 on which the toner image on the image carrier developed by the developing unit is intermediately transferred, and a lubricant additive on the intermediate transfer body A lubricating oil additive is applied to the intermediate transfer member by the application unit while the data receiving unit is receiving the image data.
