titleOfInvention Lithium secondary battery
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a high capacity lithium secondary battery by preventing deterioration of a positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: In a lithium secondary battery in which a sheet-shaped positive electrode and a sheet-shaped negative electrode are opposed to each other with a separator interposed therebetween, the sheet-shaped positive electrode is composed of a conductive substrate, at least a positive electrode active material formed on the conductive substrate, and a binder. And a binder containing at least polytetrafluoroethylene and a monoester of unsaturated dibasic acid and a group of fluorine-containing monomers containing vinylidene fluoride as a main component monomer. And a vinylidene fluoride copolymer obtained by the above method. The ratio of the two in the binder is preferably from 5 to 95% by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene and from 5 to 95% by weight of the vinylidene fluoride copolymer.
