PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer containing a hydroxyl group and based on a vinyl ester of a monocarboxylic acid, a method for producing the same, and a coating medium using the same. SOLUTION: This copolymer has 110 to 170 mg K It has an OH number of OH / g, an acid number of 5 to 35 mg KOH / g and a number average molecular weight of 1500 to 8000 g / mol. A) Vinyl ester of one or more saturated monocarboxylic acids 5 B) at least one aromatic vinyl hydrocarbon 10 -30% by weight, C) 41-55% by weight of a hydroxy-functional polymerizable unsaturated monomer and D) 0 of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer. Obtained by polymerizing .about.40 wt%. |
