titleOfInvention Photochemical separation method of plutonium and neptunium
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for photochemical separation of plutonium and neptunium without generation of secondary waste at all. SOLUTION: The photochemical separation method of the present invention irradiates ultraviolet light while mixing a nitric acid solution containing plutonium and neptunium and an organic phase containing tributyl phosphate, whereby plutonium is extracted into the organic phase, and Neptunium is mutually separated.
