titleOfInvention | Integrated circuit device and communication method therefor |
abstract | SUMMARY A single-chip integrated circuit device is disclosed that includes a message converter connected to an on-chip bus system by a set of first pins as many as the bit width of the on-chip bus system. The message converter has a second set of pins less than the first set of pins. The message converter has a reduced pin data receiving circuit for receiving the message and a data transmitting circuit for formulating the message from the information received from the bus system. Each message has a message identifier. Also disclosed is a method for performing a memory access request using a message converter. |
