PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cord in a tight form as a reinforcing fiber of a high pressure hose, and to have excellent adhesiveness to a matrix rubber such as ethylene propylene rubber, and to have a braid property in a hose molding. Provided is a method for treating a polyester fiber which can provide a flexible cord excellent in quality.
