abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] To provide a plant growing soil that can be used in place of soil or that can be used by mixing with soil. A sludge cake discharged in the process of manufacturing chip products, characterized by having a high content of nitrogen component, and the granulated product (2 mm to 10 mm) can be used as a mixture of soil. Further, it may contain at least one of sawdust, peat moss and resin foam. This sludge cake has, by way of example, a water content of 88.1% and a solids content of 11.9%. Further, in the solid content, the organic component is 87% and the inorganic component is 13%.
