titleOfInvention Manufacturing method of granular graphite
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat-treat, pulverize, and graphite a synthetic mesophase pitch obtained by polymerizing a condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon or a substance containing the same in the presence of hydrogen fluoride and boron trifluoride. In producing granular graphite suitable as a negative electrode material of a lithium-ion battery by oxidizing treatment, it is intended to provide a method for suppressing intense melt foaming of mesophase pitch in a heat treatment step and improving production efficiency and operability. SOLUTION: The heat treatment of the synthetic mesophase pitch is selected from aromatic nitro compounds, nitric acid, quinone dioximes, and non-metal salts of nitric acid, nitrous acid, peroxonitric acid, sulfuric acid, sulfurous acid, peroxosulfuric acid, and peroxodisulfuric acid. And in the coexistence of one or more.
