titleOfInvention Antitumor active substance
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To obtain a substance that exerts a strong antitumor effect even on solid cancer. SOLUTION: The fruit body of Kawariharatake belonging to the genus Agaricus is extracted with a 5% aqueous solution of ammonium oxalate, which is insoluble in water and extracted with ethanol, and the extract is decomposed with hydrochloric acid, followed by gel filtration and purification by affinity chromatography. An antitumor active with a weight average molecular weight of 38 × 10 4 daltons and a dispersity of 2.3 as determined by gel filtration is obtained. This substance exerts a significant antitumor effect on solid cancers.
