titleOfInvention | Measurement method of cPSA |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free PSA (fPS) by processing a blood sample. Provided is a method for measuring a complex form of immunologically measurable prostate specific antigen (cPSA) in a blood sample, which makes A) immunologically undetectable, such as a two-site immunoassay. SOLUTION: The immunoassay method comprises the following three anti-PSA Antibodies: an antibody that binds both cPSA and fPSA (anti-tPSA), a second anti-tPSA antibody characterized by the unique property that binding to fPSA is blocked by binding of an fPSA-specific antibody, and fPA. A third antibody that is an SA-specific antibody is used. By binding of the fPSA-specific antibody to PSA in the sample, only cPSA is measured in the immunoassay. cP Measuring blood levels of SA provides a sensitive and highly specific method to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of prostate cancer, and the need to perform unnecessary prostate biopsies for many patients Disappears. |
