abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a purification method capable of efficiently obtaining a hydroxyl group-containing siloxane compound having good transparency and high purity. SOLUTION: A hydrogen-modified siloxane compound and an unsaturated alcohol compound are subjected to a hydrosilylation reaction without protecting the hydroxyl group of the unsaturated alcohol compound to synthesize a hydroxyl-containing siloxane compound. In a method for purifying a hydroxyl group-containing siloxane compound, unreacted unsaturated alcohol and coloring impurities are extracted and removed.
