abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a composite yarn in which a thermoplastic synthetic fiber filament and a short fiber bundle are superposed and twisted by a ring spinning machine to produce a composite yarn. A method for producing a yarn is provided. SOLUTION: In a method for producing a composite yarn by superposing and twisting a thermoplastic synthetic fiber filament and a short fiber bundle by a ring spinning machine, a polyester-based partially oriented undrawn yarn is used as the thermoplastic synthetic fiber filament. This is drawn 1.3 to 2.0 times between the filament feed roller and the spinning front roller, heat-treated at 130 to 220 ° C., and fed to the short fiber bundle in the drafting process and fed to the common front roller to be combined.
