abstract | An object of the present invention is to easily, efficiently and at low cost separate colored fine particles so as to contain no impurities from a mixture containing colored fine particles such as toner for electrophotography and a solvent. SOLUTION: The method for separating colored fine particles has an average particle diameter of 5 μm. A method of separating the colored fine particles from a mixture containing colored fine particles of 0 μm or less and a solvent, comprising: a rotatable basket having a large number of through holes on a side surface; and a filter medium for covering an inner surface of the basket. The mixture is added to a centrifugal filter, the basket is rotated so that the centrifugal effect becomes 100 to 1000 G, the solvent is removed and washed, and a filter cake containing the colored fine particles and having a solid content of 50% or more is separated.
