titleOfInvention Lead storage battery separator and method of manufacturing the same
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator having low electric resistance and excellent oxidation resistance and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: A separator for a lead storage battery having a porous base sheet made of a wet-laid paper in which at least one kind of inorganic powder or inorganic fiber is dispersed, has on at least one surface thereof a coating layer made of an inorganic powder and an acid-resistant resin. This separator is prepared by applying a paste-like mixed solution prepared by adding water so that the solid content concentration of the inorganic powder and the acid-resistant resin is 10 to 70% by weight on at least one surface of the base sheet using a coater. It is manufactured by heating and drying to form the coating layer.
